patchwork

our driveway has needed patched the entire time we’ve lived here-6 years. i never really thought about it much until this summer when we had two kids on big kid bikes, one of which had no training wheels. the driveway was not an easy place for them to ride, and i wanted to fix that. we got some estimates, chose the best one, and scheduled the work. it started yesterday. when we got home from school, the trucks were ready and waiting. big excitement at the smith house! we hung out on the front porch (yes it was cold) for about a half an hour. yesterday was the patching and soon will come the crack filling and seal coating. so cool!
